Low est un groupe de rock alternatif originaire de Duluth (dans l'État du Minnesota) formé en 1993. Il est composé de trois membres : * Alan Sparhawk (guitare, chant) * Matt Livingstone (basse) * Mimi Parker (batterie, chant) Sparhawk et Parker sont mariés et ont deux enfants. Ils se sont rencontrés pour la première fois durant leur "fourth grade". Livingstone, le dernier arrivé, a remplacé Zak Sally qui avait lui-même remplacé John Nichols, bassiste originel du groupe. Réalisé en 2007, Drums And Guns est le huitième album du groupe (son second en collaboration avec Sub Pop Records, après The Great Destroyer).
